I finally got to sew on a card... after playing around on some scraps for a bit I ran down to the craft room tonight to actually put a card together with some sewing. It's simple but oh so exciting for me! It's been a week since I played with the sewing machine and too many other things have got in the way of me actually creating.
I used an image from my stack of already colored things :-) Handy when you want to whip something together! This cute flower is from a retired TAC set called Beautiful Place. The sentiment is from Blessings to You, a Level B hostess set. I can't give you what copics I used since it was colored in ages ago.
Stamps: Beautiful Place, Blessings to You
Ink: Noir Palette
Paper: kraft, white, yellow and purple CS
Other: Copics, ribbon, sewing machine, pop dots
Now.... for a little peek! It was an absolutely beautiful day here, so I stamped off some images and sat outside to color while the boy child played. I actually had to call it quits because we were getting too hot and the sun kept moving and blinding me for a bit reflecting off the white paper! This next shot is a look at a bunch of Holly that I colored in (and painstakingly cut out four of them) from the Flowers and Holly set I've been using. Have to get my Christmas cards for the month done... obviously going to be late since it is the last "hour" of the month now and I only have the coloring done. Hope to have time tomorrow night to whip them up... depending on how exhausted I am from shopping... oh yeah, heading out with crafty friends to a scrapbook flea market sale in WV! I also did some coloring on our new Greatest Dad set that was in the April Promo... but we hear it is going to be in our upcoming catty too... so you haven't missed out on it! The pics didn't turn out on them too well, so no peeks... just going to see the finished deal soon!
Thanks for stopping by to take a look! Let me know what you think and have a wonderful weekend!

Love the stitched card - the stitch really sets off the entire card. Right now our pollen count is still too high to sit outside and color - so I envy you!!! Patience was surely required in coloring all the holly leaves. Great job.
Cool card. And I can't wait to see more of your sneak peeks! This sample is intriguing!
Love the sneak peeks and your sewing touches
Great card--I have never done real sewing on a card.
Great job on the sewing...love the detail it adds to the card! Love the colors too!
