Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS

I am so excited to tell you that I am one of the new hostesses for the Ways to Use It Challenge on Splitcoast! It is a weekly challenge and I will occasionally be  the hostess for it! The current challenge is Dying for Die Cuts! Who doesn’t love playing with Die Cuts????

2june2011 fairy

This cute fairy is from Pollycraft. I had so much fun coloring her. The folds in her clothes made for fun shading! My flowers are eh…. not as awesome as I pictured in my mind.. but they are ok… I added stickles so that should make anything better right?

I am also playing along in my friend’s challenge blog, Use it Tuesday, to use flowers and an image not inked up before!

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look, please let me know what you think!

A first for me....

I love to color, put that picture in front of me and then let me go... I am truly addicted to coloring, it all started in Japan with some TAC stamps that I adore and the lovely Prisma Pencils and OMS that a good friend showed me how to do. Then came the copics... can you say WOW!!! The funny thing is, I like all types of mediums, be it copics, water colors, prisma pencils, painting... I can't get enough. So imagine my joy when I stumbled into the digital image arena.... more things to color!

So, this week I used digital images for the first time. They were freebies from Pollycraft Designs who is looking for some new DT members!!!

This is Codi Stylin', she is colored in with copics with a couple of prisma pencils for shading and highlighting. Another first for me is using transcendent medium for water color... can you say major WOW! It is so easy to add an amazing amount of sparkle!

This next card I had to show two images of... one to show the sparkle, the other to show my first feathering attempt with copics... it is so fun! Here is the sparkle view.

And here is the feathering on the the cupcake, I wanted to really have that candle shine!

Both Cards are going in for the Pollycraft DT tryout, as well as Pollycrafts Challenge #36 for Sparkly Things
This Duck card is also playing along with Penny's Challenge #25 for a Birthday theme.
I am also playing along with Copic Creations's Challenge #24 with a technique, I used feathering on the cupcake... super fun!

Thanks for taking a look! Let me know what you think!
