My new toy!!!!!

I have an awesome new toy, and am so super excited! My hubby gave me an early birthday present today, a Nikon camera. I am loving it, and have been snapping photos all day! Just want to share a couple of pictures… hey, its my blog so I can do what I want right? But then those of you that know the joy of getting a new camera know how I’m feeling right now!

I can’t wait to figure out the different settings and all. but I have a folder full of leaves, squirrels, my guys and our pup and I have to say that it works a ton better without even knowing what I’m doing!

Ok, on to the paper crafting that this blog is all about LOL I finally broke down and did it…. me the book lover that I am…. I have been dying to cut into some pages but couldn’t bring myself to mess up a book. I overcame that when I found an old dictionary that was falling apart at the thrift store. Just don’t tell the librarians!

Now for a little test, which one of these do you think was taken with my old camera and which with the new…. guesses?

Dictionary Flower 2

I used a flower Nestabilities die set and cut a bunch of flowers. Then I crinkled, inked and all that good stuff. The background was embossed with a flowers Impressabilities  die  and then sponged with New canvas Palette ink.

Thanks for stopping by and listening to my rambling! Have a wonderful weekend, don’t forget to check back Sunday night for our Paper Wings Blog Hop. I also want to point out that I added blog hops to my events calendar in the upper right!

What fun you are having with your new camera - doesn't it make a difference?? But...that being said you have to have talent too - which shows in your pics. Don't you love making the flowers>>great job..
