Final Farewell Blog Hop

prop swap 2

Where to begin…. This is our monthly hop sponsored by Paper Wings, a place where Angels gather. It is with sadness in my heart that I say it is the Final Farewell Hop as TAC has closed its doors and hung up its wings.

What has The Angel Company meant to me… I have learned that there are people in the world that truly are a blessing to others. They give their time, talent and hearts to encourage and lift up those around them in need. Friends, family and strangers find themselves the recipients of love and long distant hugs all wrapped up in a handmade card or gift or just a word of prayer. I have met some amazing ladies and learned so much from them. Be a Blessing… such a simple thought but so easy to forget.

This first project was my Prop Swap at TAC’s Seminar this year. I had such a good time making it and hope that it is bringing joy to the lovely Angel that received it. Happily Grateful is one of my favorite TAC sets, it can be used in so many different ways. I used Background Soup to distress my freshly painted box… much to my father’s dismay. He couldn’t understand why I would want to make it look dirty… we crafters are devious aren’t we!

The PP and TAG are from the Amberley Grace SWIC. The flowers were made by cutting circles into spirals.
In life there are always obstacles to overcome and detours to take. It seems that the image they chose for our Inspiration book cover was preparing us.

A truly happy person is the one
who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Aug2011 Final Farewell Hop

I even pulled out my all time favorite TAC paper Mulberry Meadow…. yes, I’ve been hoarding it. I colored with copics and then took a white signo pen to the sentiment. Did some sewing on the panels and there you have it.

This is just a detour, and I do intend to enjoy the scenery. Thank you so much for taking this journey with me. I treasure all of my Angel friends and can’t wait to see where this detour will take them. Please take the time to see what they have to share with you.

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the color, you really have an eye for it. As to being a hoarder I have a theory- hoarders are just people who need bigger houses...

What a beautiful post. I will take your advice and try to always enjoy my hobby--when it's not fun, then I need to ask myself hm...LOL I am so glad we met at seminar--I felt a connection in the lobby as we colored and chatted. You are very special to me--please stay in touch!

Teresa, the box is just as beautiful today as it was the day you showed it to me at Seminar. The card is gorgeous. You are so very talented. I'm so fortunate that we got to meet and be roomies at the 'last' Seminar. Good luck to you in whatever the future holds for you.
