Best Wishes

This card is a play along with a color challenge. I needed to use purple, yellow, and white. The little girl is from the Fairytale Fun set. I think she is adorable sprinkling her magic over the "Best Wishes". I stamped it, embossed it and then colored and embossed some more! Versa Marker makes it easy to emboss over top of colored images. The flowery vines up the sides is from Simply Divine.

Bring on Spring!

Winter has been rough this year, I am so tired of shoveling snow. Although I do love the fresh clean look of new fallen snow covering everything. So with spring in mind, I made this flower pot girl card. The Wonder and Joy set is so adorable. The expressions on their faces are great. The next two cards I made ten of each for a fellow Angel Maria. She is doing a Thank You booth at a Health Fair where people can sign thank you cards to send overseas to soldiers.

Tool Time

This layout shows off my adorable son and husband... oh yeah, the boys in my life! I used a retired stamp set called Tool Time and created letters out of them as well as adding some background Versa Mark images. Sometimes we need to think outside of the box and use our supplies in different ways. I had stamped and colored all these tools and intended to plop them here and there when a friend told me I should make letters out of them... and the rest is history! They make some awesome letters if you ask me!

Cupcakes on Parade

I have started hosting a Stamp Set Motivational on Paper Wings Online, a gathering place of angels everywhere as well as a gallery that is open for all to see and search by stamp set. I choose stamp sets every two weeks and try to use as many of the stamps as I can. This is my first week and one of my examples is this card.

I colored in the images from Cupcake Cuties using Aquacolor Crayons. The cute patterned paper is from Sands of Time. The green frosted cupcake is popped up.

Gift Card Holder Swap

I took part in a Gift Card Holder Swap in December and this little cutie is what I came up with... along with the input of a felly Scrapper!






This little house is from the Gingerbread Fun Stamp Set, and is colored in with Copics. Add some stickles and pop it up and voila! On the inside the sentiment is from our Level D hostess set Label Lingo.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day brings so many ways to delight in crafts. Gift giving, decorating, and homemade cards to share.

I was lucky enough to meet some lovely ladies yesterday that share my joy of papercrafts. It was a wonderful afternoon of card making and I got so many ideas that I am just bursting to try out! I did some coloring, some visiting, some eating... you know that is a major part of crafting, don't deny it! I did make a Valentine for my hubby... aka Prince Charming for now!

This adorable frog is from the new Fairytale Fun stamp set. I colored him with Copic Markers and popped him up in layers! Even put some stickles on the crown... gotta have some sparkle.

My First Angel Card Swap

I took part in a card swap using new stamp sets with some fellow Angels. I just recieved my loot today and let me tell you.... I love what I see! Thanks to all who played!

This was my addition to the swap. All stamps are from the Vintage Santa set. The snowflakes are stamped using Versa Mark and the sentiment is stamped with Versa Mark and Memento Rich Cocoa, both were then embossed with Transcendence clear embossing powder. I had so much fun participating in the swap and encourage others to find a group to swap with. It is so much fun to get different cards!

Is it fall or winter???

It is that time of year when it cools down, leaves change and the fun holidays roll around. I love the changing leaves, atleast until they fall in my yard! With that being said, I've been picking up acorns and raking leaves, absolutely amazed at how much can come out of a few trees! It could be worse though, back in Iowa where I am from they are facing snow today, how is that possible? They are skipping right past fall this year and straight into winter.

My son is so excited for Halloween this year, or should I say he is excited to go trick or treating. We are marking off days on the calendar, but he still thinks that it should be here already. I have to agree... I'm ready for it too!

This image is from the Spooky Boys stamp set from The Angel Company. I colored with copics and did plenty of embossing and playing with the Scor-Bug... I am so loving that thing! I already loved my Scor-Pal, but this little tool brings it to a new level.

Oh Cinderella!

Here is a cute card that I made up for a birthday and got to play along in some challenges as well! This cute cinderella is from the The Angel Company's Spooky Girls stamp set, I colored her in with copics, did some highlighting with a souffle pen and then went to town with the crystal lacquer and stickles... her glass slippers and crown are so cute with a couple of layers of the crystal lacquer.

Boo to You!

I love Fall... the only thing I miss about summer is the swimming! I love when the weather cools down, and when the colors change! Fall also holds Halloween and Thanksgiving, which any crafter knows is a wonderful opportunity to break out the supplies and decorate, make gifts, or scrap those great moments of trick or treaters or family and friends getting together! Not to mention send some greetings out when you find some great images like this little witch from the September Vintage Set, Witchie Witchie.

Sketch Motivational SK08

I'm participating in my first Paperwings Sketch Motivational. It is great to use a sketch from someone else and piece everything together to fit it! I was so excited to get done and posted, I think some of my watercolor is still wet under the bat! It showed up more in the picture than real life!

I stamped Simply Divine on white CS using Noir Palette. Spooktacular is stamped with Noir Palette then heat embossed with Transcendence. It is colored with aquacolor crayons using a water brush. There are some faux stitches using a white Souffle Gelly Pen.

On another note, I just got my copy of the new Fall Magalogue, Inspiration Avenue in that becomes available on September 1st! I am in awe, there are so many wonderful new stamp sets, as well as a few sets that are coming back into play that make me soooo happy!

Cute and Crazy Pig and Chick!

I'm on a roll! Amazing what having fellow scrappers around can do for your motivation. I went to a crop this last weekend and let me tell you, the creative juices were flowing! When I first saw the Funny Farm and Funny Farm Phrases stamps, I just knew I had to have them! They are just so darn cute! They all give "the look" which I've seen many times from my boy child, so it just cracks me up, not to mention the great phrases to go along with them!

I went a little off the wall, crazy angels and layers, and no real plan on how they would lay and fit... maybe should have planned that out a little more! I just had to have them staring at each other though, so here we are! The pig and chick are colored with Copics. I used DCWV and White CS, and Noir Pallette ink! The little bordering was done by using the Scor-Pal and a paper piercer.

August Angel Art Blog Hop!

Woo Hoo!!!! My first ever blog hop featuring some of the newest TAC stamps available. I've had a blast creating this card, and I can't wait to see what the other talented ladies have to share with us as well!

This is the Hit the Beach stamp set, I just adore it and think they are so cute! I used Versa Magic Dew Drops ink to sponge the sand and water, and then water colored the sky by picking up the ink from an acrylic block with a water brush. The image is colored with PrismaColor pencils, blended with OMS, then cut out and popped up. The flowers at the bottom are part of the Friendship Strips stamp set, stamped with the same Versa Magic ink colors, cut out and popped up with an added dab of Icicle Stickles to the center for some bling!

Ship Tile Card

After cutting out stamps and getting things organized, I finally set down to make something. This card has something I've been wanting to try, the tile look is done by scoring your paper with the Score-Pal and then stamping your image with the embossed lines down. The stamps used are Ship Collage and Tag Tidbits. I lightly chalked some on the image, and sponged on Noir Pallette ink.

TAC Starter Kit arrived!

Everyone has those days when you just wish you were doing something other than what you are... today was one of those days for me. After being out running errands with a cranky four year old, I just wanted to make it home and relax, maybe pop out a card or layout. We pulled into the driveway and BAM... there was my much anticipated Starter Kit! I have been itching to play with some new stamps and papers! After drooling over my new stamps for a bit, I realized that tonight is going to be a cutting night! For those of you who are new to TAC or new to unmounted rubber stamps and our Creative Cling foam, let me tell you how wonderful it is! You stick the rubber stamps onto the foam, cut them out and then they are ready to use with acrylic blocks. They are easily stored back in the clam shell cases they come in, or in CD cases. Here is a great video by Sara on how to mount your stamps. She shows how you can also stamp the image on the back of the foam in order to have perfect placement. I do this on some stamps, and it is very helpful with placement in words.

Before I leave you to commence cutting...hee hee... here is a card that I put together.



I used the stamp set An'Udder Birthday? which is just adorable in my opinion, who doesn't love em some cows! It is stamped on fabric with Noir Pallette ink, heat set, and colored with Prismacolor pencils. I used Amberley Grace CS and a tag from the SWIC pack.

Cowboy Card... Round Two

So, I had so much fun playing with the Wild West stamp set, that I decided to do a little series of our cute little cowboy friend... especially while I wait for some fun new stamps to arrive! This card has a popped star and fire and inside reads "You are the brightest star in my sky."

I used Prismacolor pencils to color the images and sponged ink on the ground for a sandy effect. The Starry sky is paper from a retired Designer Series collection, winterberry, but have no fear... there are other styles available with the same designs just new colors!

Cowboy Thank You Card

I have had so much fun making this card, and am very happy with the results! I used Prismacolor pencils to color the cowboy, cactus and fence. My first time using this particular technique with the Prismacolors, I saw it on the Oz-somestamps Blog, really great video. I cut them out and layered them over a watercolored background done with aquacolor crayons and a water brush. Then mounted it on blue cardstock.

"Thank You" is a former Gift with Purchase stamp set and is stamped using Noir Pallete Pad. The cowboy and cactus are from the "Wild West" stamp set. If you are interested in purchasing these products, please contact me.
